New Rotax Dealer Appointed in Singapore

Singapore FlagFor 2009 Singapore intends to put together at least 15 drivers to take part in the Rotax Max Challenge Malaysia series in order to open up a seat for Singapore in the Rotax Max Grand Finals! If that is a success and depending on the tracks and the growth of Karting in Singapore there might be a dedicated Rotax Max Challenge Singapore in the near future!

Nabil Dominates in Rotax Asia Challenge Hong Kong

Muhammad Nabil dominated the Senior category at the non-championship round of the Rotax Asia Challenge held at the Diamond Coast International Karting Circuit in Hong Kong last weekend. Nabil headed all sessions including the warm ups by a healthy margin, leaving others seconds behind in a matter of laps. Mikko Nassi made it to second in the final after starting in 7th making it a KRS Racing Team and Intrepid 1-2. In the Masters category John King overcame a crash on the first lap of the final which dropped him to last to stage an amazing comeback by taking the race win! Rolf Seibl finished the race in 2nd. In the Juniors Calvin Seibl took the win ahead of Matthew Solomon and Brendan Seibl. Results are HERE. Discussions including pictures on the forums HERE. Afiq and Hasif Off to a Flying Start at Malaysian Championship

Mohammad Afiq (in 125 open) and Muhammad Hasif (in Rotax Junior) got off to a flying start at the first round of the AAM KKS Malaysian Karting Championship held at Sepang International Karting Circuit last weekend. Timothy Yeo won the MicroMax category, while Brandon Lee won the Yamaha Junior category.

Gilbert, Mehta, Seibl Win at Yamaha Cup Malaysia Rd.3

The 3rd round of the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia Series was held at Sepang last weekend. Mitchell Gilbert made his debut in the series holding off a late challenge from Ryan Mumford to win the Senior category. This results puts Mumford a very healty lead in the championship battle with Melvin Moh only finishing in 8th.

Indonesia and Asia Rotax Max Challenges Finale!

The Indonesian and Asian Rotax Max Challenges came to a close at the Sentul International Karting circuit today. On the Indonesian side Alexandra Asmasoebrata (Senior) and Rio Haryanto (Junior) both arrived at their final National round with healthy leads in the championships and both kept hold of their leads to take the championships.Mikko Nassi (Senior), John King (Masters), and Muhammad Nabil (Junior) took the Asia Max Challenge championship titles. Ooi Fei Hoong has already earlier secured the DD2 title.More results to follow.

Brunei Go Kart Prix 2008

Jeffrey Suresh, Chan Key Hong, and Ammirol Ahmad jumped up to the top step of the podiums at the Brunei Go Kart Prix 2008 last weekend. Karting in Brunei is in exiting times with talk of possible extensions and race activity at the Jerudong karting circuit as well as the appointment of a Rotax authorised dealer which means a Rotax Max Challenge in 2009!
