Afiq and Hasif Off to a Flying Start at Malaysian Championship

Mohammad Afiq (in 125 open) and Muhammad Hasif (in Rotax Junior) got off to a flying start at the first round of the AAM KKS Malaysian Karting Championship held at Sepang International Karting Circuit last weekend. Timothy Yeo won the MicroMax category, while Brandon Lee won the Yamaha Junior category.

Gilbert, Mehta, Seibl Win at Yamaha Cup Malaysia Rd.3

The 3rd round of the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia Series was held at Sepang last weekend. Mitchell Gilbert made his debut in the series holding off a late challenge from Ryan Mumford to win the Senior category. This results puts Mumford a very healty lead in the championship battle with Melvin Moh only finishing in 8th.

New Rotax Dealer for Brunei and East Malaysia

BRP Rotax KartingKRS Motorsports/Kartmore Racing services has appointed Maju Advance Motorsports as an Authorized Rotax Dealer and Service center for Brunei and East Malaysia. As the Authorized dealer for Brunei, Maju Advance Motorsports also has also been given the right to organise the Rotax Max Challenge Brunei which they plan to do in 2009. Ritchie, Lee, King to Represent Malaysia

The final round of the Rotax Max Challenge Malaysia series was held yesterday at the Speedway PLUS circuit in USJ Subang Jaya. Ryan Ritchie, James Lee, and John King secured their championships and will represent Malaysia in La Conca at the end of November at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Lim Trumps Mumford to the Flag

Aaron Lim and Ryan Mumford put on a show at the 2nd round of the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia series yesterday. Having won heats 1 and 2 Mumford had a bad start in the final but then made his way back up past Melvin Moh and then caught up with Lim and overtook him with half the race to go. Lim followed Mumford closely for several laps only to make a move for the lead on the penultimate lap and he made it stick by defending throughout the final lap. Download the RESULTS from yesterday.
