Nabil Dominates in Rotax Asia Challenge Hong Kong

Muhammad Nabil dominated the Senior category at the non-championship round of the Rotax Asia Challenge held at the Diamond Coast International Karting Circuit in Hong Kong last weekend. Nabil headed all sessions including the warm ups by a healthy margin, leaving others seconds behind in a matter of laps. Mikko Nassi made it to second in the final after starting in 7th making it a KRS Racing Team and Intrepid 1-2. In the Masters category John King overcame a crash on the first lap of the final which dropped him to last to stage an amazing comeback by taking the race win! Rolf Seibl finished the race in 2nd. Storm Clears in Macau for AKOC

Flights and ferries were canceled, but the racing went on in Macau despite some atrocious weather conditions. Some heats on Saturday were canceled but the skies cleared on Sunday to treat the drivers to the first laps under sunny conditions and on a dry track for their pre-finals and finals.

Karting World Championship in Macau!

CIK-FIA LogoCIK-FIA has announced the latest decisions by the World Motorsport Council on Karting and the real interesting decision is that the 2009 Karting World Championships will be held on the 8th-11th October 2009 at the Kartodromo de Coloane, in Macau! This will be the first time that the Karting World Championships will be held in Asia.
