The opening round of the Rotax Asia Challenge was held last weekend in conjunction with the second round of the Rotax Malaysia Challenge in variable weather conditions with racing action in the dry, damp, and wet conditions. Big grids made for a lot of close racing. View the results and championship standings below.

2009 Rotax Asia Challenge Heading to Indonesia
The 2nd round of the 2009 Rotax Asia Challenge has been confirmed to be at the Sentul Karting Circuit in Indonesia, on the 9th-10th of May. Entry forms and hotel booking forms will be available soon.
FM-V Visors for Arai Helmets – Review
"Most drivers report much long life" with FM-V visors, and the visor's coating "not come off when you drive hard rain condition." Don't mistake the amusing use of Japanglish on FM-V's website as an indicator of an inferior product - these are definitely worthy competition to the other two popular mirrored visors available on the market (CaraCoat and LLC from Lucky Design).
I recently got a couple of these fancy looking visors for use on my yet to be "dressed up" plain white Arai SK5 helmet.

Leading Australian kart racer David Sera has continued his winning ways with a victory in the Formula Kart Weekend at the Ocala Gran Prix circuit in Florida, USA over the weekend.
2009 Rotax Grand Finals in Egypt
There has been no official confirmation from Rotax yet, with confirmation coming from other sources - the 2009 Rotax Grand Finals will be held at the Ghibli International Raceway in Egypt from the 5th to 12th of December. This will be the second time that the Grand Finals will be held at the track, with the first time being in 2003.
The news has been announced at the Ghibli Circuit website (www.ghibliraceway.com/), and was also announced on KartSportNews.com. There should be an official announcement from Rotax soon.
