Singapore, 20 May 2010 – Currently leading the championship for the 2010
Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia Series, James Pull heads to Speedway PLUS Circuit at
Selangor, Malaysia this Sunday with an aim to extend his lead. Racing under Team
Axle BHPetrol, the 10-year-old cadet karter started the Series with tremendous
success when he was the only driver to score a double win at round one of the
Yamaha SL Cup when he came in first for both races.

After two rounds of four races altogether, Pull shares a joint championship lead with
team-mate and buddy Daim Hishammudin at 62 points each. Based in Singapore,
the Tanglin Trust School student who is of Eurasian heritage as his father is English
and his mother is Malaysian, said, “We are almost halfway through the Series and I
have had a fairly strong start. I would like to build on this lead and maintain it for
the rest of the Series.”

“In addition, I’ve had some training recently with former multiple kart racing
champion Richard Bradley who has helped me a lot with my race craft. I’m feeling
confident and I look forward to a good weekend.”

Born in Singapore at Mount Elizabeth Hospital but of English nationality, Pull first
tried go-karting at the now-defunct Kart World in September 2008 at the age of
eight. After just three months of leisure karting, Pull progressed to competitive
karting. Only into his second year of racing, Pull gained attention when he entered
the kart racing scene at a young age of nine.

At his first 2009 KKS AAM Malaysian Karting Championship (Formula C) race (Round
3), Pull took pole position and won both heats, the pre-final and final, and even set
the fastest lap in all races. He later went on to win the championship.
Pull is also racing in the Rotax Max Challenge Malaysia series and will be racing in
the Asian Karting Open Championship when it starts in June.
