Amaron Karting Challenge 2007 Starts Up!

The first multi-city karting challenge by Amaron has kicked off in Chennai, India on Saturday. 107 drivers took part in this first of 5 qualification rounds which will see the overall champion which will be decided at a grand finals round will get a place on the Amaron Karting team for 2007 contesting in the national Rotax Challenge. The drivers take part in the challenge on kart equipped with 9hp 4-stroke Subaru karts. The winners of the first round were Rofus Nathanael Patrick, Mustafa Inayath, and A.Sandeep Kumar, each driver earning a spot for the grand finals to be held in Goa.

Chennai, July 8, 2007: The “Amaron Karting Challenge 2007” at Chennai kicked off on Saturday 7th July, amidst much fanfare. The winners of the Chennai round are Rofus Nathanael Patrick , Mustafa Inayath, A.Sandeep Kumar. These are the winners who now move on to the grand finale to be held at picturesque and sporty Goa, the only true place where the sand, sea and the sport come together in one seamless bind.

Over 150 champions zoomed by the dusty track on the 7th and 8th of July at Kart Attack, each one trying to outdo the other for the famed berth. The race bore witness to some real skilful maneuvering and heart stopping action.

The color of the crowd, the essence of the vroom, the adrenaline rushing made sure go-karting as a sport has really arrived and is here to stay. With the support of Amaron and cheer of the Chennaites, the winners were transformed to a racy world of speed.

Welcome these set of champions who can take on a challenge and can commit a victory. These are indeed the regional winners who in addition to being lover of machines also dream to be on the fast track and win big. And as they climb every ladder of the Karting competition they only get closer to the D day when the cup shall be held aloft while all including the sport itself shall emerge winners.

The qualifiers from this final leg of the “Amaron Karting Challenge 2007” from across the cities of Chennai, Kohlapur, Bangalore and Mumbai move onto the grand finale to be held at Goa. The Winner of the Grand Finals will earn a scholarship berth in the Amaron Karting team in 2008 to take part in the JK Tyre Rotax Max Challenge and the Indian National Rotax Max Championship.
